Fletch surprised me with a fancy lunch out for V-day. I am a lucky girl!
But seriously, I am. Everyone knows how much I’ve been wanting a workspace, so Fletch borrowed a car so we could make a (surprise) trip out to Ikea. As everyone knows, a trip to Ikea is not complete without cheap, guilty-pleasure, oddly-delicious, Ikea hot-dogs slathered in ketchup, kid-mustard, and relish. My once a year hot-dog indulgence.
I now have am amazing little workspace in a neglected corner of the living room.
It may not hold a candle to the amazing craftroom/workshops that I was ogling the other day, but it is mine. I am thrilled to bits!
Also, it must be noted that, during the documentation of my new “nook” I discovered that our house is (without a doubt) haunted. The “ghost” was captured on film.
I’m kidding…or am I?
Valentines Day is quickly approaching, and while it is no major occasion in my books (my husband laments my lack of interest in all things romantic), it has brought to my attention a plethora of adorable craft ideas that I would LOVE to try.
I probably won’t get around to any of them because a) my husband’s idea of a perfect valentines day gift is probably not a pillow with a heart made from buttons, and b) my lack of a private office/crafting space makes it difficult to accomplish anything, let alone secretly accomplish something.
Here are some of the adorable ideas I’ve come across
1. Family V-Day Mailboxes: The Dating Divas
2. Framed Hearts: Little Birdie Secrets
3. Knit Heart: Knitty
4. Conversation Blocks: Brown Paper Packages
5. Heart Button Pillow: Make Handmade
And because I started thinking about craft spaces, offices, and workshops, here are some dream work-spaces for you to ogle along with me.
